Travel Counsellors and Intrepid Travel raised more than £15,000 from a charity trek to Mount Toubkal in Morocco.
Funds from the seven-day journey combining cultural exploration with mountain trekking are going to Reuben’s Retreat and the Intrepid Foundation.
The charitable venture brought together nine Travel Counsellors, including support staff, alongside representatives from Reuben’s Retreat and Intrepid Travel.
The adventure began in Marrakech, before the group travelled into the Atlas Mountains and a two-day ascent of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in north Africa.
Intrepid UK and Ireland head of partnerships Carrie Grant said: “We’re thrilled to have partnered with Travel Counsellors on this incredible Moroccan adventure.
"The team’s dedication and determination were truly inspiring, and together we’ve raised much-needed funds for Reuben’s Retreat and the Intrepid Foundation.
“Experiences like this show the power of travel to challenge, connect, and make a real difference in people’s lives.”
Travel Counsellor Kat Malyshenko, based in Towcester, said: “It wasn’t all sunshine and smiles, it was the hardest thing I have ever done, but I am so pleased that I got to experience this with everyone else on the trip - no tantrums, but tears. It really was something I will never forget.”
