Jet2 is expanding its summer 2021 programme to Jersey with five new routes.
The expansion by the budget carrier and sister operator Jet2holidays means more than 30,000 seats are now on sale to the Channel island.
Flights have been added from Birmingham, East Midlands, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted in addition to three weekly departures already available from Leeds Bradford airport from mid-May until September.
A range of accommodation available in Grouville, St Helier, St Brelade’s Bay, St Peter and St Aubin.
Weekly services will run from most airports, with additional frequencies from Manchester and Stansted.
Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “We are delighted to be significantly expanding our Jersey programme for summer ‘21, with a great choice of flights departing from six bases in response to strong demand.
“Thanks to the addition of new routes from five of our UK bases, in addition to our existing programme from Leeds Bradford, means that we have a fantastic choice of weekend and midweek flights available to Jersey.”
Amanda Burns, chief executive of Visit Jersey, said: “This is a positive sign that demand for our island’s holiday product is strong and growing. This will boost agents to sell the destination, knowing that their customers can make use of a fantastic choice of regional connectivity.
“We know that domestic tourism will continue to be a priority as we move into 2021, with travellers seeking outdoor escapes and beaches suitable for all of the family, so we look forward to welcoming back more visitors, new and old, to our beautiful shores.”
Matt Thomas, chief executive of Ports of Jersey, added: “We are thrilled to announce the significant growth with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays in summer ‘21
“The addition of the five new routes, on top of our established programme from Leeds Bradford, makes our beautiful Island available to many more holidaymakers. We are delighted that we will be building an even closer partnership with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.”
Jet2 has also introduced twice-weekly flights from Birmingham to Amsterdam every Friday and Monday between April 30 and October 29.
