Air Canada has resumed a seasonal summer Dublin-Vancouver service with more flights.
The operating season of the route has been extended from the originally planned June to September schedule to May to October.
Five three-class Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights a week will serve the nine-hour route until mid-October.
The rise in capacity follows increased demand for travel to British Columbia.
The move follows temporary suspension of a Dublin airport passenger cap, allowing the airline to operate additional flights to Vancouver.
The route resumption comes as Air Canada gears up for one of its busiest ever transatlantic schedules, with almost 50 routes between Europe and Canada, including three from Dublin.
Return fares from Dublin to Vancouver start at €593 in economy, including taxes and charges.
Air Canada sales manager in Ireland Bláithín O’Donnell said: “We’re thrilled to be expanding our service between Dublin and Vancouver this summer, in response to growing demand for travel to Canada.
“We have slowly been increasing capacity throughout the year, in line with customer demand, but as the first flight of the season departed Dublin this weekend, we wanted to further strengthen our commitment to the market, by upping frequencies throughout the autumn.”
