Aurigny, the flag carrier of Guernsey, has confirmed that it will start services to and from London City airport on March 31, with one-way fares starting from £49.99.
Travellers from Guernsey will be able to connect to more than 30 leisure and business destinations across the UK and rest of Europe from the London airport.
Aurigny also has an interline agreement with British Airways CityFlyer, meaning passengers can connect to flights on BA’s network on a single booking.
Aurigny will operate return flights twice a day from Sunday to Thursday, with a third rotation on a Friday. There are no flights on Saturdays.
Andrew Hodges, chief commercial officer at the airport, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Aurigny as the first new airline at London City airport this year – demonstrating our commitment to growing as a business and offering new destinations to our passengers.”
Nico Bezuidenhout, chief executive at Aurigny, added: “Guernsey is a tourist destination and an international finance centre.
“Many businesses on our beautiful island work closely with colleagues and clients in London and direct flights to London’s beating heart will also benefit anyone who wishes to explore the city’s many attractions.”
