Ryanair is adding seven UK-Morocco routes for next summer as part of an estimated $1.4 billion expansion in the North African country.

The commitment is expected to see a 33% growth in passengers flying with the no-frills carrier to and from the country compared with this year.

New UK routes will serve Agadir from Birmingham, Bournemouth and Edinburgh.

Marrakech will gain flights from Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds Bradford, while Tangier (pictured), a fourth Ryanair base in Morocco with two aircraft, gains a link from Manchester.

The summer 2024 schedule sees 14 aircraft deployed across four Moroccan airports which will also operate 11 domestic routes in the country with the addition of Beni Mellal and Errachidia.

“Ryanair is proud to unveil a $1.4 billion major investment in Morocco for ’24, which with our biggest summer schedule delivers more than five million passengers to/from, and within the Kingdom of Morocco.

“This schedule will see Ryanair operate over 175 routes, launch 35 new routes including 11 domestic routes at low fares, which will boost tourism and connectivity within the Kingdom.

“Ryanair will also open a new two-aircraft base in Tangier, creating over 60 highly paid aviation jobs in Tangier.

“This will take Ryanair’s total investment in the Kingdom to over $1.4 billion, employing 500 people directly, and supporting thousands of jobs in the local tourism economy.”
