The Foreign Office has added advice and created dedicated online pages for fans travelling to the US, Canada and Mexico next summer for the Fifa World Cup.
The draw for the tournament takes place on Friday (December 5) and matches will be from June 11-July 19, 2026.
The FCDO advises travellers to sign up for email updates on travel advice for the host nations; to download the official Fifa World Cup 26 app; and check Fifa’s official World Cup 2026 website to stay informed.
In the US, matches will be hosted in Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, Seattle and the San Francisco Bay Area.
In Canada, matches will be in Toronto, Ontario and Vancouver, British Columbia.
In Mexico, matches will be played in Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey.
The FCDO advises travellers to expect other cities and popular tourist destinations across the US, Canada and Mexico be busier than usual during the tournament.
For Mexico, it adds: “Before travelling between cities, check the Travel Advice for your route, and be aware of restricted areas and surroundings.”
The World Cup draw ceremony will start at Washington DC’s Kennedy Center at 5pm UK time on Friday (December 5). The match schedule will be released on Saturday (December 6).
England and Scotland fans will await news on who their opponents will be in North America, while those from Wales and Northern Ireland will have an interest as their teams could reach the tournament through the play-offs in March.
