Leeds-based homeworker Paul Robson-Truong, of PR Travel, has won the Travel Company of the Year honour at the 2025 West Yorkshire Business Awards.
Robson-Truong, an Independent Travel Associate (ITA) with Inspire Europe, received his award late last month.
The annual Business Awards UK acknowledge the work, dedication and impact of local businesses throughout every region.
Kate Byrne, managing director at Business Awards UK, said: “On behalf of everyone at Business Awards UK, I’d like to offer my heartfelt congratulations to PR Travel on being named Travel Company of the Year at the 2025 West Yorkshire Business Awards.
“With 17 impressive contenders in this category and hundreds of entries overall in the region, his win was truly outstanding.
“His decision to branch out and embrace new opportunities, in spite of potential risks, clearly paid off, propelling his business to success.
“Coupled with amazing growth over the past few years and a reputation for impeccable service, this award is a well-deserved recognition of Paul’s exceptional journey.”
Robson-Truong added: “I am delighted to have won this award, which is recognition of many years of hard work in setting up my business.
“Over the past five years as an independent agent, I’ve built a reputation for impeccable service, impartial advice and genuine care that keeps clients returning and enthusiastically recommending our services.
“This consistent excellence has fuelled remarkable business growth, necessitating expansion from a solo operation to a team of three.
“Most impressive is our refusal to become complacent. Rather than settling for the status quo, we continually seek new challenges and set ambitious goals. Our recent expansion into dynamic packaging – a market I had previously hesitated to enter – demonstrates our commitment to evolution and growth.
“This new direction has increased profit margins while expanding service offerings, providing even greater value to clients.
“My journey exemplifies the power of strategic risk-taking and unwavering client focus.
“By leaving the comfort of my previous membership organisation and embracing new opportunities with Inspire Europe, I’ve accelerated growth trajectory and significantly elevated service capabilities.
“My story shows how independent travel agents can thrive in today’s competitive landscape through bold decision-making, exceptional client service, and continuous improvement.”
He joined Inspire Europe in November 2024 and is one of the company’s top-performing Independent Travel Advisors.
Lisa Henning, chief executive at Inspire Europe, continued: “I am so delighted for Paul and the team, and they are so deserving of this award.
“PR Travel is a shining example of what an exemplary independent travel agent is, and we are so proud to have him and his team as part of Inspire.”
