Jet2.com has added Chania in Crete to its summer 2026 programme from East Midlands airport.
The move means the airline will offer 10 Greek destinations from East Midlands next summer, with the others being Corfu, Heraklion in Crete, Kefalonia, Kos, Preveza, Rhodes, Skiathos, Thessaloniki and Zante.
The new weekly Tuesday service will operate from May 26 until October 27, 2026, representing the first time that travellers will be able to visit Crete’s western region from the airport.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We know just how much holidaymakers enjoy soaking up the sun in Chania, and we are delighted to be offering the chance for customers and independent travel agents in the region to explore this beautiful area of Crete for the very first time.
“Next summer will be our biggest ever programme from East Midlands airport, so we encourage holidaymakers to get organised and book early to secure the best rooms in the top hotels and give themselves a getaway to look forward to next year, with more choice and flexibility than ever before.”
In total, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have 43 destinations on sale from East Midlands airport for summer 26. In addition to Chania, new routes will be Agadir, Costa de Almeria, Pula, Preveza, Thessaloniki and Split.
