A support system has been introduced by Jordan to assist international visitors facing travel disruption due to “regional developments”.
The initiative by the country’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities include real-time help and personalised guidance for tourists affected by the conflict between neighbouring Israel and Iran.
The new mechanism is designed to streamline communication between the ministry and tourists.
The tourist help centre operates via a dedicated digital platform, where visitors can contact the ministry directly for help to reschedule flights, secure alternative accommodation, modify itineraries or report any issues during their stay.
Jordan, home to Petra and the Dead Sea, noted that its tourism attractions all remain open as usual, with the system adding a “proactive measure” to reassure travellers.
The tourism and antiquities ministry is working closely industry partners including Royal Jordanian, the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents, and other officials to deliver “a prompt, unified, and effective response” to travel-related issues.

Tourism revenues also rose, reaffirming there country’s status as a leading destination for cultural, historical, and natural experiences.
The upward trend is underpinned by ongoing investment in infrastructure, authentic cultural experiences and a focus on visitor care.
A statement said: "As the region navigates uncertainty, Jordan continues to stand out uniquely as a stable, welcoming and well-prepared destination for international visitors."
