Manchester airport temporarily suspended operations early today after two easyJet aircraft ‘clipped’ wings.
The two aircraft were taxiing for take-off when their wings touched.
Knock-on delays have occurred as a result.
An airport spokesperson said that both aircraft were taxiing ahead of take-off and they clipped wings.
“We suspended operations just after 6.30am while the planes were assessed to make sure they were safe to taxi to stand, which they were so operations resumed very quickly.
“It’s resulted in some delays but nothing major.”
One aircraft was reportedly due to take off to Gibraltar and the other to Paris.
