Marriott to open Ramada Encore in York

MARRIOTT subsidiary Ramada International has chosen York as the location for the first of its new mid-market lodging brand Ramada Encore.

 

 

Planning permission is currently being sought but the company hopes to see the new 103-room property open for business by the end of next year. Ramada International brand vice-president Reas Kondrachow said: “If planning permission goes ahead, the York hotel will open in the fourth quarter of next year. It will be the first Ramada Encore in the world.”

 

 

Rates lead in at £64 with the brand pitched at the more youthful-minded business traveller. Three to five hotels are planned for next year.
