Club Med has promoted Jemma Bridges to become head of trade sales for the UK, Ireland and the Nordics, effective from February 9.
Currently key account manager for the UK, Ireland and the Nordics, she succeeds Marc Lauret, who has been appointed as sales director for Singapore and Malaysia.
Bridges will assume responsibility for leading Club Med’s trade and and meetings and events strategy across the UK, Ireland and Nordics.
The resorts operator said her appointment reflects Club Med’s “continued focus on strengthening its B2B performance and accelerating growth across both leisure and corporate segments”.
Bridges has more than two decades of expertise across travel, leisure and B2B environments.
Club Med said her career includes a “significant tenure” at Thomas Cook, alongside senior roles with other leading organisations, where she successfully led complex commercial initiatives, developed high-value partnerships, and delivered strategies that drove measurable growth.
Since joining Club Med in 2022, she has spearheaded trade partner relationships and supported the development of the Irish market.
In her new role, Bridges’ priorities will include continuing the diversification of Club Med’s Sun product; strengthening and consolidating the Snow cluster’s leadership by deepening existing partnerships and developing new ones; and unlocking the full potential of the Meetings & Events segment.
Nicolas Bresch, managing director for the UK, Ireland & Nordics at Club Med, said: “Her extensive experience across the travel and B2B sectors, combined with her deep understanding of our business and markets, makes her ideally placed to accelerate our growth across Trade and Meetings & Events across the UK, Ireland and the Nordics.
“We would also like to thank Marc Lauret, who laid strong foundations by delivering 30% growth in Meetings & Events through major resort privatisations and the launch of the new Club Med travel agent portal.
“This has given partners a seamless 24/7 booking experience with the latest offers and information.
“With our trusted trade partners remaining a core priority, Jemma will continue to build on this success and further strengthen these relationships as she moves forward in her role.
“We look forward to growing our presence and performance across these key markets under her leadership.”
Club Med operates nearly 70 premium beach and mountain resorts in 40 countries spanning across five continents.
