Virgin Voyages plans ‘largest ever UK trade activation’ on Valiant Lady

Virgin Voyages has unveiled plans to host its “largest ever UK and Ireland trade activation” by hosting more than 1,000 agents on Valiant Lady this summer.

The adult-only line will bring the 2,700-passenger ship to six UK cities throughout August on a “summer tour” following the vessel’s dry dock refurbishment.

Valiant Lady will welcome agents in Dublin on August 7, Glasgow on August 8, Liverpool on August 9, Belfast on August 10 and Edinburgh on August 18, before offering two dates on August 20 and August 27 in Portsmouth.

Details on how and when to register will be shared on Virgin Voyages’ Facebook page for UK-based travel agents.

UK director of sales SJ Walker said the line would take “a blended approach” by having top sellers and new-to-brand agents on board.

Walker said: “I am very pleased that we will be welcoming Valiant Lady following refurbishment. It will be our largest UK and Ireland trade activation.”

She added: “It is important to showcase the new features on Valiant Lady [after refurbishment] to existing agents.

“As we expand our distribution and work closer with travel agents with higher-value holiday bookings and targeting the luxury sector more, it is important we get new First Mates [agents] on board as well.”
