Not Just Travel has pledged lifelong support for the Abta LifeLine charity by donating £2 per travel consultant within its community annually.
Abta LifeLine awards financial grants to help colleagues suffering financial hardship caused by life-changing medical conditions, bereavement, disability, relationship breakdown and other issues.
NJT non-executive director Derek Jones and chair of the charity, said: "We’re absolutely delighted that Not Just Travel is backing Abta LifeLine’s appeal.
“This isn’t just about donations - it’s about hope. Abta LifeLine is there for our colleagues and their families when life takes an unexpected turn, offering vital support at the hardest of times.
“But we can only keep that lifeline open if the funds are there. Every pound matters. This incredible support will change lives and remind those who are struggling that they are not alone. Together, we can make a real difference."
One consultant, named as Billie, said: "My daughter was undergoing chemotherapy treatment and having major surgery. The charity provided food vouchers and supported the purchase of a new bed and warm bedding for my daughter’s bedroom."
Abta LifeLine has also helped by providing sensory equipment for a sick child, stairlifts, eye gaze technology for a terminally ill colleague, mobility aids, and a garden transformation to help someone in a wheelchair access her garden following a stroke.
NJT co-founder Steve Witt said: "We are very proud to be supporting the incredible work Abta LifeLine does for the travel industry, assisting consultants in their time of need.
"Personal and financial difficulties can make the world an incredibly scary, lonely place.
“Abta LifeLine is exactly that - a lifeline out of a dark place and the knowledge that there is an industry of people supporting them along the way. We will continue to support the charity in many ways in the coming year."
