Ambassador Cruise Line’s chief executive will join passengers onboard Ambience for a marine conservation-themed itinerary.
Christian Verhounig and chief executive of marine conservation charity Orca Sally Hamilton will both sail on Ambassador’s 12-night Iceland’s Land of Ice & Fire cruise departing London Tilbury on July 7.
The pair will host a meet-and-greet cocktail party, a talk with passengers and a Q&A session, giving guests the opportunity to learn more about sustainable travel and conservation.
Verhounig will shed light on what it takes to launch a new cruise line at a time when the sustainable actions of any operator are under scrutiny, while Hamilton will share insights into her career at Orca, Ambassador said.
Earlier this year, the cruise line renewed its partnership with the charity and announced it will run 14 itineraries dedicated to protecting ocean life in 2023-24.
