Caledonian Leisure, which operates the Caledonian Travel and UKBreakaways brands, has bought the Claymore Hotel in Arrochar, Scotland, in partnership with its investors.
The deal has been completed for an undisclosed sum.
The 96-bedroom hotel – formerly a manor house – is on the banks of Loch Long, near Loch Lomond. It is one of Caledonian Travel’s most popular hotels, with a large percentage of repeat customers.
Following the acquisition, the hotel will be rebranded as The Caledonian Claymore Hotel and continue to feature in the brands’ portfolios.
The present hotel general manager, Gary Watson, and his entire team will join Caledonian as part of the takeover.
