Former Virgin Limited Edition sales director Rachel Healey is to join luxury operator Lusso in a newly created business development role next month.
Healey will join the trade-only operator’s senior team as head of business development and growth on January 5, 2026.
The appointment will see Healey work alongside Lusso’s managing director James Weaver, sales director Gareth Hulmston and national sales manager Kevin Gaddes to aid the “strategic growth” of the company’s agent relationships across the UK.
Healey has more than three decades of experience in the travel industry, having most recently spent three years at Virgin Limited Edition, before which she worked at Abercrombie & Kent, USAirtours, Qantas Holidays and trade-only operator Travel 2.
Weaver said: “With a travel career spanning more than 30 years, Rachel brings a wealth of experience across both travel retail and wholesale sectors in B2B roles. When we heard that Rachel was looking at new opportunities in the luxury travel sector, we leapt at the chance to bring her on board at Lusso.
“Being wholly dedicated to agents is incredibly important to offer best-in-class relationship management to our agents. Alongside Gareth and Kevin, we now have a ‘dream team’ that holds some exceptionally strong relationships across the luxury agency space.”
Healey added: “I am so very excited to be joining the team at Lusso. The trade-only brand is so loved by the luxury travel agent community, and the future is looking bright.
“I’m looking forward to working with our existing partners – many of whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing for years – and to developing new business opportunities and partnerships.”
The appointment follows a period of “significant growth” for Lusso, which has seen it reach £30 million in annual sales and an average booking value of £22,000.
