Sandals Resorts International has reopened five of its hotels after they were closed following damage from Hurricane Melissa in October.
The properties, which reopened on Saturday, are Sandals Dunn’s River, Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Negril and Beaches Negril.
The company said the reopenings mark “a major step forward for tourism” on the island.
Three more resorts, Sandals South Coast, Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean, will reopen on May 30, 2026.
Executive chairman Adam Stewart said: “There’s a real sense of momentum across Jamaica right now.
“Our airports are open and welcoming flights from around the world. Tours and attractions, including the iconic Dunn’s River Falls, Negril’s famed Seven Mile Beach and Mystic Mountain for fans of Jamaican bobsledding, are all ready and waiting for you.”
