James Villas has promoted Dave Woollcott to the newly created role of general manager, with immediate effect.
Previously commercial director for the Specialist Brands team within parent company Awaze, Woollcott will now focus exclusively on the James Villas brand.
He has been with James Villas and Awaze for 18 years and has held several senior commercial, distribution and analytical roles.
Woollcott has been commercial director since 2012, supporting James Villas to become a more integrated part of the Awaze portfolio of brands, alongside other specialist brands including Ardennes-etape, Fincallorca, MyIstria and Croatia Luxury Rent.
In his new role, he will further develop the brand with particular focus on trade relations, marketing and the guest experience, and use his expertise in supply, revenue management, distribution and technology.
Woollcott said: “I will be leading our growth strategy and goal of being part of the biggest managed accommodation provider in Europe, offering a great breadth of product and choice to our guests with first-class customer service.
“With a simplified product offering, we are able to move forward with expansions into destinations such as Croatia, France, Greece and Spain, and invest more in technology – with a brand-new website to come in the year ahead. James Villas promotes more than 8,000 properties throughout Europe. It is part of Awaze, and has headquarters in Maidstone.
