Flight Centre expands TourRadar collaboration by adding online tour and adventure search

Flight Centre is extending a collaboration with adventure booking platform TourRadar.

The new partnership will give Flight Centre customers access to more than 8,000 multi-day tours and adventures from tour operators such as Intrepid Travel, Trafalgar, Contiki, Globus and G Adventures.

Users can view the complete details of every tour, including images, full itinerary details, what is included, reviews, live availability and pricing.

The white label agreement will initially enhance the ‘tours’ section on the Flight Centre customer website in Australia before extending to New Zealand, the UK and Canada by the end of September.

While TourRadar powers the backend search functionality, all inquiries and bookings are handled directly through Flight Centre’s existing global network of travel consultants.

Flight Centre first turned to TourRadar in 2021 to integrate its instantly bookable API into an in-house travel agent portal, allowing all the agency’s consultants to instantly book preferred operators within one single platform.

“The success of that collaboration has now expanded to new opportunities, benefiting Flight Centre’s online customers seeking enriching travel experiences,” the Australian agency chain said.

TourRadar co-founder and chief executive Travis Pittman said: “We’re proud to partner with Flight Centre to give their customers access to our incredible range of organised adventures.

“Our partnership shows how the right technology can elevate the online customer experience and expand access to a world of adventure possibilities, while ensuring a seamless flow from discovery to enquiry to booking.”

Flight Centre global head of cruise and tour Monique Van Gelder added: “Optionality is key to our future plans and our flightcentre.com e-commerce site is evolving so we can continue to meet our customers’ desire to dream, plan and book their holidays online.

“With over 8,000 tours to browse from online, we’re able to showcase an unrivalled product offering to our customers.”
