Jet2holidays has contracted a specialist firm to inspect and audit water parks for safety at more than 50 hotels ahead of the operator’s largest summer season.
Properties featuring water parks across Spain, Greece, Portugal, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Turkey and Croatia will be covered.
The Fun Lab, an engineering firm and accredited inspection entity, will conduct the checks.

A specific safety checklist has been developed for hotels which feature water parks, and the company will visit each property to audit them against it.
The Fun Lab can also work with Jet2holidays hotel partners that feature water parks to provide them with exclusive ‘Safe Fun’ certification.
The certification is awarded to establishments that have certified their water leisure facilities in accordance with international standards.
