Morocco is reopening to international flights and travellers from key tourist source markets from next week.
Arrivals from June 15 will require a vaccination certificate and/or a negative PCR test at least 48 hours before the date of entry.
The easing of border controls includes the UK, all European Union countries except Lithuania, US, Canada, Russia and China.
Flights between Morocco and the UK were suspended before Christmas and the country is now on the UK’s amber list requiring ten days of quarantine on return.
The Moroccan National Tourism Office is keen to see the country get on the UK’s green travel list based on the low Covid rates and a vaccination programme that has seen more than 9 million have at least one jab out of a target population of 25 million.
Morocco has 2,500 active cases after the expansion of the vaccination roll-out in the country, claimed to the best in Africa.
