MSC Cruises adds Southampton 2024-25 winter sun sailing

MSC Cruises is to run a one-off sailing from Southampton to the Canary Islands, Madeira and Morocco as part of its winter 2024-25 schedule.

MSC Preziosa, which will be running seven-night northern Europe cruises from Hamburg for winter 2024-25, will operate the 21-night itinerary from the UK port.

The extended winter sun sailing is set to depart from Southampton on January 5, 2025.

The addition follows the line opening sales in the UK and Ireland for summer 2025 six months earlier than in previous years.

The winter 2024-25 programme covers more than 150 global sailings.

These include six ships being deployed in the Caribbean, MSC World Europa based in the Mediterranean and MSC Euribia in the Middle East.

The line’s summer UK-based ship MSC Virtuosa will be based in Fort-de-France, Martinique for winter 2024-25 to offer seven-night central and southern Caribbean itineraries, including Guadeloupe, the Virgin Islands, St Maarten, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua & Barbuda, Saint Vincent & The Grenadines, Barbados, Grenada and Saint Lucia.

Details of itineraries for South America, southern Africa and Asia will be revealed “in due course”, according to the line.
