
Qatar Airways is raising flight frequency from the UK and Ireland for the winter.
The number of flights to be operated from Heathrow to Doha will reach a record 10 a day from eight this summer.
These will be complemented by British Airways’ double daily service to the Gulf hub.
Manchester airport will see Qatar Airways flights increased from 21 to 24 a week.
Dublin will be served by 17 flights a week instead of 14 in the summer schedule.
The extra flights come as the airline raises winter capacity to 15 destinations from Hamad International airport in Doha.
Chief commercial officer Thierry Antinori, said: “Qatar Airways is consistently witnessing a steady rise in demand for our services to some of the most prominent destinations in the world, most notably for London, Dublin, Cape Town, and Sao Paulo.
“This winter, in partnership with Qatar Airways, Virgin Australia will launch flights from Melbourne to Doha, increasing capacity to three daily flights between the two cities.
“Qatar Airways will also restart services to Canberra, reinforcing its commitment to enhance connectivity between Australia and the world.
“The latest increase in flight frequency is testament to our continual and unmatched enhancements of experiences for our passengers travelling through our hub, Hamad International airport.”
