Travel Counsellors has unveiled a ‘Hall of Fame’ to recognise agents and head office staff whose work has “left a lasting legacy across the business”.
Announced during the company’s annual conference in Liverpool by UK managing director Kirsten Hughes and engagement director Karen Morris, the Travel Counsellors Hall of Fame has been created to honour employees for their “vision, values and achievements”.
Examples given by the homeworking group include pioneering new ways of working and “setting the benchmark” for excellence in customer care, technology and community spirit.
Morris and Hughes announced the first seven inductees of the Hall of Fame as they announced the scheme, five of whom took part in an on-stage panel discussion sharing stories from their careers shortly after learning of their achievement.

They were travel counsellors Simon Cooper, Lisa Hillyard and Drew Palmer, along with franchise sales consultant Cathy Oldfield and head of software engineering Jason Boyd.
Travel counsellors Ed Pearson and Brian Telfer were also announced as inductees but were not at the conference.
Unveiling the Hall of Fame, Morris said: “The Travel Counsellors story has been shaped by our people – those who have helped create what we stand for and added their own chapters along the way.
“The Hall of Fame is our way of recognising those who’ve helped build the foundations of our community and continue to inspire others through their example. Their legacy isn’t just about what they’ve achieved - it’s about the care, creativity and belief they’ve shared with everyone around them.”

Hall of Fame inductee Lisa Hillyard said: “Travel Counsellors has been such a big part of my life for more than 25 years, and it means the world to see my daughter Amy now following in my footsteps and forging her own path here too as a Travel Counsellor business owner.
“That’s what this business is all about – creating something lasting, not just in terms of success, but through the people and values we pass on. Being part of the Hall of Fame is an honour, but the real legacy is seeing the next generation take it forward.”
The Hall of Fame will become an annual celebration, with future inductees nominated for their contribution across the business.
