Air France will offer connections from five UK airports to a new route to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
Three flights a week to the ‘Roof of Africa’ have been scheduled as an extension of a service to Zanzibar from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport.
The service, starting on November 18, will give access to Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.

Designated a Unesco World Heritage Site, Kilimanjaro National Park is also a starting point for safaris in Tanzania and neighbouring Kenya.
Passengers from Heathrow, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and Edinburgh will be able to connect to the new service to be operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The aircraft will be configured with 34 seats in business class, 24 in premium economy and 266 in economy.
This Paris–Zanzibar–Kilimanjaro route will replace a flight to Zanzibar and Dar Es Salam in Tanzania.
Dar Es Salam will be accessible via Amsterdam, with Air France partner KLM operating flights to the Tanzanian capital seven times a week.
KLM’s other destinations in Tanzania include Kilimanjaro with five flights a week and Zanzibar with two flights a week.
Air France said: “By co-ordinating the two airlines’ flight schedules, Air France and KLM will offer customers a wider choice of operating days and times.”
