Fred Holidays recruits Rachel Wood from Premier Holidays 

Rachel Wood has been recruited by Fred Holidays from Premier Holidays to the newly-created position of business development manager for the Midlands.

She was sales and business development manager at Premier, looking after agents in the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

Wood has also held positions with Classic Collection Holidays, Freedom Travel Group and Carnival UK.

The key strategic focus of the new role she starts on May 6 will be increasing brand awareness, in particularly around cruise and stay holidays, collaborating to optimise new business opportunities through trade partners and expanding the distribution reach. 

Wood will report to head of business development Laura Wilson.

Fred Holidays’ tour operations director Tricia Birmingham said: “We are delighted to welcome Rachel, who is highly respected and has a number of years’ experience, most notably in cruise and tour operating.  

“This experience means that she is a perfect fit for our business and will be a huge asset to us as we target strategic growth and aim to become one of the leading operators in the industry.”
