Royal Caribbean starts construction of fourth Icon Class ship

Royal Caribbean has started construction of its fourth Icon Class ship.

The line held a keel-laying ceremony with the shipbuilders for the as-yet-unnamed ship at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland.

The first building block for the first ship was laid in the dry dock on top of a layer of freshly minted coins.

The ship is scheduled to be delivered in 2027.

Sister ship Legend of the Seas is slated to start sailing from Barcelona in August 2026, while Star of the Seas and Icon of the Seas are offering Caribbean cruises.
