APT & Travelmarvel 2025 brochure features new small group journeys

APT & Travelmarvel has launched its 2025 Worldwide Touring brochure, featuring a debut collection of small group journeys alongside the operator’s traditional group tours.

The sales team will work closely with agents in the coming months, educating them about the unique selling points and key differences between escorted tours and the five new small group journeys, which will cater for groups up to 16.

The new itineraries also see APT expand into South Africa for the first time, and reinstate operations in Sri Lanka, Japan and India for the first time in many years.

APT tested the concept in April, pre-releasing details of two small group journeys in India to garner feedback from the trade.

It said the reaction was “extremely positive”, thanks to the experiential and immersive nature of the tours.

APT is offering savings of up to £500 per person on all new small group journeys bookings made before October 31.

The 13-day Discover the Beauty of Sri Lanka costs from £2,595. Highlights include a visit to a Buddhist monastery, a Sri Lankan cooking demonstration, a tour of the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya and a cinnamon tapping experience in Galle.

The 13-day Reveal the Traditions of Japan journey, from Toyko to Osaka, costs from £5,995 and features a Japanese tea ceremony, sushi-making in Kyoto and a calligraphy lesson.

The 13-day Uncover the Essence of South Africa, Cape Town to Johannesburg, costs from £3,995.

The prices are on a twin-share basis and include the £500 discount, transfers, accommodation and sightseeing.

An agent incentive has been launched to mark the new collection, with £50 of Love2Shop vouchers for any 2024 or 2025 small group booking made before August 5.

Laura Hughes, APT & Travelmarvel’s touring product manager, said: “It is exciting to roll out APT’s latest innovation, bringing a whole new touring style to market.

“Our five new Small Group Journeys are designed to connect guests more deeply with each place they visit, focusing on experiences that evoke all the senses.

“Travelling in smaller numbers allows each group to get further off the trodden path, spending time in authentic places without the infrastructure to receive larger group tours, giving opportunities to spend more meaningful time with locals for greater insights into their ways of life, and expanding into new destinations, for even more customer choice in 2025.”
