Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has delayed the launch of Norwegian Viva due to “global supply chain issues”.
The cruise line has cancelled the ship’s first two sailings on June 15, 2023 and June 24, 2023. The Mediterranean itineraries were scheduled to sail from the ship’s homeport in Lisbon, to Trieste and Civitavecchia, both Italy, and Piraeus, Greece.
Affected passengers will receive a full refund and 10% discount on future sailings taken by June 20, 2023.

Norwegian Viva is NCL’s second Prima-class ship and will join Norwegian Prima, which is scheduled to launch this summer.
An NCL spokesperson said: “Due to the global supply chain issues impacting industries worldwide, the construction of Norwegian Viva has been delayed.
“As a result, her June 15 and June 24, 2023 sailings have been cancelled. We appreciate the understanding of our guests and travel partners.
“All impacted guests and travel partners have been contacted and will receive an automatic full refund returned to the original form of payment, as well as a 10% discount valid for any future sailing bookable from June 20, 2022 through to June 20, 2023.”
