Building work on a £2.5 billion giant new UK theme park is due to start next year.
The London Resort is to be created on the banks of the River Thames at Swanscombe Peninsula in Kent from 2022 when planning approval is expected.
The aim is to have the initial phase opened by 2024 with completion by 2029.
Touted as Europe’s largest theme park, The London Resort will cover 465 hectares.
Paramount Pictures was announced as a partner in 2019 alongside BBC Studios and ITV Studios.
Chief executive PY Gerbeau this week announced the first three firms chosen to help develop the project.
He said: “We will be the first theme park across Europe to be built from scratch in nearly 30 years.
“We will be one of the only operationally carbon neutral parks in the world.
“And with our investment in sustainability and the environment, we will be beacon of what can be achieved when the environment, commerce and entertainment flourish together, hand in hand.
“To make that vision a reality, we will only work with the best of the best that industry has to offer and today marks the first day of that exciting journey ahead.”
Sixty five other firms have been advised that they are in the running to work on what is billed as one of the most ambitious leisure projects to be undertaken in the UK and Europe.
