Richard Forde named sales director at walking specialist Involved Holidays

Former Newmarket Holidays trade sales boss Richard Forde is to spearhead agent distribution for walking specialist Involved Holidays.

He has been recruited in the newly-created role of sales director as part of what the Leicestershire-based operator described as ambitious expansion plans.

Forde stepped down as head of trade sales and partnerships at Newmarket and as chair of Tipto in August to take time away from the industry.

Involved Holidays offers more than 40 walking and birdwatching holidays across the UK and Europe, including 11 no single supplement options, with departures from 18 regional UK airports.

Company founder and managing director Steve West said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard to our team. His deep industry knowledge and proven track record in sales and marketing will be invaluable as we continue to grow.

“We are also looking to expand our team further with the addition of an operations executive and assistant to support our increasing focus on trade and group bookings.”

Forde said:  “I’m thrilled to join such a dynamic and rapidly growing company that aligns perfectly with my personal and professional values.

“As a passionate advocate for the great outdoors, I’m excited by Involved Holidays’ unique blend of walking adventures paired with relaxing downtime.

“These ‘holidays with walks’ offer the ideal balance for both mental and physical well-being, creating unforgettable experiences and memories. I can’t wait to apply my years of experience to help agents and groups discover these exceptional offerings.

“From a trade perspective, the portfolio features some fantastic no single supplement holidays, which are always in high demand. Plus we also have some exciting new product developments in the pipeline.”
