Jamie-Lee Abtar and Huw Price have joined travel experiences firm Not in the Guidebooks.
Abtar, previously with Intrepid and the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, becomes marketing manager, while Price becomes product manager following 15 years travel industry experience predominately in the golfing sector.
Company founder and chief executive Carol Savage said: “Jamie-Lee brings with her a wealth of experience and a decade of crafting strategies for travel & lifestyle brands, whilst Huw has a great deal of knowledge of product and contracting.
“Since launching the business in December 2019, we have grown exponentially, and these appointments are a further important step in helping us build a global brand over the next four to five years.”
Abtar added: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Not in the Guidebooks team where I can contribute to the impressive groundwork they’ve laid since launch.
“This decision was easily made due to my profound dedication to the transformative influence of travel on local societies.
“The platform offered by Not in the Guidebooks aligns perfectly with my values, as it empowers local hosts in various destinations, ultimately leading to a positive influence on the communities our clients explore.”
Price said: “I have a huge passion for sustainable travel, and I am very much looking forward to working with the team to help grow and develop the brand as the leading name in sustainable and experiential travel.”
