The Travel Network Group unveils two marketing team promotions

The Travel Network Group has announced two promotions, with Ross East as the new group marketing director and Kristy Garnett taking on the role of head of marketing.

East joined the business in 2018 as head of marketing and Garnett joined in 2016 time as product and marketing executive – her first role in the travel industry after university.

Over the past six years, she has advanced through more senior positions within the marketing team and managed the marketing needs for the company’s homeworking division, Independent Travel Experts.

Gary Lewis, chief of The Travel Network Group, said: “Within our business, we recognise and reward the hard work of our people and always look to promote internally where possible.

“Both Ross and Kristy are key members of our team who have gone above and beyond to support us throughout the pandemic, both on the operational side of the business, as well as continuing with their marketing roles.

“Our strategy is to offer our teams the platform to grow and develop and it is heart-warming to see both Kristy and Ross flourishing within our organisation.”

As part of their membership with the group, members receive quarterly marketing campaigns, designed to go across retail, social media and websites, as well as product sales messaging and a comprehensive training proposition to help attract new customers.

East said: “Throughout the pandemic, we have had to pause some of our marketing services and be ‘all hands-on deck’ available to our members.

“As we’re transitioning to a more positive trading environment, we are now expanding our team and focusing on scaling up the bespoke marketing service available to our members, which includes both graphic design and our bespoke video service.”
