Tui’s touring division has hosted its first fam trip for independent agents, with Oman the chosen destination.
The trip, which took place this month, followed elements of the Tui Tours Classical Oman itinerary while giving agents the chance to visit 12 properties.
Tui Tours product manager Dexter Argent-Burns said: “As we continue to grow our Tui Tours product, it’s more important than ever before that agents have the opportunity to get under the skin of the product and have the first-hand knowledge to speak about it with their customers.”
The itinerary showcased luxury accommodation including Kempinski Hotel Muscat and Shangri-La Al Husn, as well as cultural items including Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
The group also took part in dune bashing in the Wahiba Sands and enjoyed starlit dining at a Desert Night Camp.
Argent-Burns said: “It was such an amazing opportunity to showcase beautiful Oman and make history with Tui Tours’ first-ever independent agent fam trip.”
He added: “The enthusiasm we’ve seen after the trip from the agents who attended confirms we’re on the right path as we expand our tours offering across more destinations worldwide.”
Designer Travel agent Caroline Bailey said: “The experience taught me what a wonderful country Oman is. I was astonished by the cleanliness of the country and the friendliness of its people.”
Eight independent agents took part in the trip, as well as three representatives from the Tui Tours contact centre.
