New look and new categories for Agent Achievement Awards

Agencies specialising in touring and adventure holidays, those showcasing their businesses through digital and social channels and the best apprentice agents in the UK and Ireland are to be honoured at a new-look Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards in July.

New awards have been introduced to showcase growth areas in the travel trade, as well as new regional categories to celebrate agency hotbeds in the Republic of Ireland, and the East Midlands and East Anglia.

The final new accolade, the One to Watch Award, will be presented to an agency that has operated as a standalone business for up to two years.

The revamped category list is introduced as the AAAs celebrates its 24th year, with a new look reflecting the awards’ heritage and a bright future for travel agents.

Lucy Huxley, editor-in-chief of Travel Weekly Group, said: “We are incredibly excited to unveil a new look and new awards for this year’s Agent Achievement Awards.

“The AAAs have always been the ultimate benchmark of excellence in the travel trade, and we are looking forward to another spectacular event on July 11.”

Stuart Parish, UK managing director of Travel Weekly parent company Jacobs Media Group, added: “As Europe’s largest B2B media business for the travel and hospitality industries, we are incredibly proud of our history, but are also committed to innovation and excellence in everything we do.

“As Travel Weekly celebrates its 50th birthday and its 10th year as an independent company, there is no better time to revamp one of our flagship events to ensure we continue to place our readers firmly at the heart of our business.”
