Coronavirus: Foreign Office advises against travel to Poland

The Foreign Office is advising against all but essential travel to Poland.

The move follows a decision by the Polish government to ban foreign nationals from entering the country from midnight on Saturday.

Ryanair announced it has cancelled all  its flights to the country from today, March 14, until March 31.

Wizz Air had already announced it was suspending flights to and from Poland until further notice while LOT Polish Airlines said it had suspended all connections from Poland and Hungary until March 28.

The FCO said the change in its advice followed the travel restrictions implemented by the Polish government to limit the spread of the coronavirus.

From midnight onSaturday March 14 it will not be possible for most British nationals to enter Poland, with all borders due to shut at midnight and all international rail and air transport suspended.
