APT Travel Group is suspending the operation of its guided tours and cruises up to and including May 31, as the coronavirus crisis continues.
Just over two weeks ago, on March 14, the operator said it was suspending its holidays up to and including April 24.
On Tuesday it told agents in a letter: “The APT Travel Group has the safety and wellbeing of our guests and people as our highest concern during this time of uncertainty and we have been continuously monitoring the evolving Covid-19 situation. As you are well aware, travel to all countries is now being affected in some way.
“Based on this, we regret to advise we are suspending operation of our international tours and cruises up to and including 31 May 2020.”
Affected clients can have a ‘Future Holiday Credit’, worth the value of the booking if paid in full. If not paid in full, the deposit will be held in credit with no fees.
The letter also advised agents: “To protect your commission please encourage customers to take this future holiday credit.”
