A Casablanca connection from Stansted will be offered by Royal Air Maroc this summer.
The new summer seasonal route will run three times a week from June 24 until September 14.
The service on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays will be operated by a Boeing 737-800 with a flight time of around three hours and 20 minutes.
The link to Morocco’s largest city by the Oneworld alliance carrier will provide access to its network across Africa.
Stansted commercial director Ciaran Brannigan said: “This service will provide our passengers with more choice and convenience when travelling to north Africa, whether for business, leisure, or connecting onto the airline’s broader route network.
“Casablanca is an iconic destination, and we are confident this new route will be the beginning of beautiful friendship between Royal Air Maroc and London Stansted.”
The airline’s UK general manager Zoubida Smahi said: “We are thrilled to offer our passengers a direct link between London Stansted and Casablanca, one of the most vibrant and culturally rich cities in Morocco.
“This new service reflects our commitment to providing convenient and accessible travel options for both business and leisure travellers, while also connecting them to our extensive network across Africa.
“We look forward to welcoming passengers aboard and to further strengthening our presence in the UK and beyond.”
