Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson to speak at Advantage-BTA summit

Paralympic champion-turned-parliamentarian Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson has been announced as a speaker for the next month’s Business Travel Association and Advantage Travel Partnership event.

She will deliver a keynote presentation at the organisations’ first Corporate Travel Summit: Nexus – Power of Partnerships event at Novotel London West in Hammersmith (March 6).

Baroness Grey-Thompson, recently appointed as chair of the Department for Transport’s Aviation Accessibility Task and Finish Group, will address how she is leading efforts to enhance air travel for disabled passengers, aiming to eliminate barriers and ensure dignified journeys for all.

Highlighting her own personal experiences, she will underscore the critical need for improved accessibility across all transport modes and inspire discussions about creating an inclusive transport environment.

Another keynote speaker will be renowned economist Liam Halligan, with writer, producer and entertainer Nigel Mead as moderator.

Halligan, who writes the weekly Economics Agenda column in The Sunday Telegraph, will shed light on business travel’s role in driving the UK’s economic growth.

Andrea Caulfield-Smith, managing director of Global Business Travel at Advantage Travel Partnership, said: “We are delighted to have assembled a fantastic line-up of speakers for this summit who not only reflect the significance of this event, but bring unparalleled expertise and insight.

“Each speaker will bring their own unique perspective that will undoubtedly inspire fresh and visionary thinking and deliver tremendous value to delegates.”

Andrew Clarke, BTA commercial director, added: “The business travel industry is entering a new era against a backdrop of ongoing geopolitical instability and economic uncertainty, this summit is an opportunity to reimagine how we protect managed travel’s integrity while creating enhanced value for customers and partners.”
