More flights have been cancelled by Aer Lingus amid ongoing industrial acton by pilots.
A total of 122 flights are affected between July 3-7, meaning about 400 have been cancelled since the start of an indefinite work-to-rule on Wednesday and an eight-hour strike on Saturday by members of the Irish Airline Pilots Association (Ialpa).
News of the additional cancellations came ahead of a fresh round of talks due to take place today (Monday) in an attempt to resolve the pay dispute following the breakdown of previous discussions.

The airline said on Friday: “In order to continue to protect as many services as possible from the impact of Ialpa’s continuing industrial action, Aer Lingus has had to take the step of cancelling 122 additional flights over the course of Wednesday 3rd July to Sunday 7th July.
“Implementing these cancellations is to enable us to protect as many services as possible for as many of our customers as possible.
“Customers impacted by these latest cancellations will be given the option to change their flights for free. They will also be able to claim a refund or voucher.
“Aer Lingus fully understands the anxiety being experienced by customers given the uncertainty caused by Ialpa’s industrial action and is giving impacted customers as many options as possible.”
The airline’s regional services operated by Emerald Airlines and transatlantic services from Manchester airport are unaffected.
