Tui has cancelled all holidays to more than a dozen destinations as it makes plans in line with latest Foreign Office (FCDO) travel advice.
The UK’s largest tour operator is not longer operating until at least July 21 to the following destinations: Aruba, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Greek destinations Halkidiki, Kefalonia, Preveza, Samos, Santorini, Skiathos, Thassos and Crete (Chania, not Heraklion); Italy, Jamaica mainland Spain and La Palma, Mexico, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey.
All holidays to Tui Lakes & Mountains destinations have also been suspended until at least July 21.
Tui has also cancelled all holidays which include non-Tui flights to Canada, India, Indonesia, Kenya, the Maldives, Mauritius, the Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, Tobago, the United Arab Emirates and the US – up to and including July 21.
The changes follow Thursday’s additions to the UK government’s green list, which included Spain’s Balearic Islands, Malta, Portuguese archipelago Madeira and some Caribbean islands.
Transport secretary Grant Shapps also confirmed last week that quarantine requirements for UK arrivals from amber list countries would be dropped “later in the summer”.
Tui updated its website to say: “We want to offer our customers flexibility and choice this summer, so where borders are open and FCDO advice allows travel, we will operate to those destinations as planned.
“We are continually reviewing our holiday programme and cancellations in line with the government updates every three weeks, with the next update expected on July 15.
“All customers will be contacted as soon as possible if there is any change to their booking.”
