Carrier opens up office to agency homeworkers

Luxury tour operator Carrier is inviting homeworkers to utilise its office space three days a week.

The Didsbury-based company will allow three homeworkers access to desks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.

The opportunity is open to partners working with the tour operator, as it looks to strengthen relationships further.

Head of sales Rick Milne said the decision came after a homeworker quipped that they’d like to work in the Carrier offices from time to time.

“It was a remark made by a homeworker and it really got me thinking made me think ‘well why not’ and we’ve decided to open up some desks as a result,” he said.

“We’re so proud of our culture and the atmosphere across the office so to invite others into the office is a pleasure for us. We’ll offer three desks which we’ve ringed off especially for this and they’ll be available Tuesday to Thursday when our agency sales executive Andy Tart will be in.”

Managing director Natasha Towey added: “We want to welcome agents to work from our home rather than theirs. It all ties into the ethos of how we make people feel and we want to welcome in our partners to make use of our space.”
