Royal Caribbean to host 400 agents on ‘biggest-ever’ Seminar at Sea

Royal Caribbean International has unveiled its “biggest-ever” Seminar at Sea programme for agents in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Designed for new-to-cruise agents, the programme will welcome 400 trade partners on Symphony of the Sea for four nights from May 7-11.

The line said the Seminar at Sea is an “immersive training event” with roleplaying and quizzes, and will give agents a first-hand experience of a Royal Caribbean holiday, alongside “critical training”.

Leading up to the event, the line will select one agent to stay in a Royal Suite Class cabin.

Ben Bouldin, vice-president of Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “It’s been fantastic to see so many new faces join the travel industry over the last year or so and we want to give agents a chance to dive into the memorable holidays we’re known for at Royal Caribbean.

“First-hand experience is an incredible sales tool and coupling this with the in-depth education they’ll receive on board, the Seminar at Sea will set them up for success in crafting the best family experiences for their clients.”

Stuart Byron, director of sales for UK, Ireland and Spain, said: “One of the best ways we can support our travel partners in selling Royal Caribbean cruises is to give them a taste of the experience.

“This Seminar at Sea is an incredible opportunity to educate and develop relationships like never before, with a good dose of thrill and chill along the way.”
