Switzerland will remove all Covid entry requirements from May 2, making it easier for international travellers to enter the country.
Currently, visitors to Switzerland must show proof of vaccination or proof of recovery from Covid within the last year.
Unvaccinated travellers from the UK are unable to enter unless they are Swiss or Lichtenstein nationals.
However, from May 2 the rules will be removed, meaning anyone can enter Switzerland without needing to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery, or do any Covid tests.
Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Migration confirmed the current requirements will be lifted in a statement, and visitors can enter by following the “usual rules”, such as having a passport or visa.
They said: “The entry restrictions currently in place will be lifted from May 2. As of that date, the usual rules for entering Switzerland will apply.”
