Titan Travel has created a new style of escorted touring holiday, combining a land-based trip with an ocean cruise.
Eight Cruise & Tour holidays have been unveiled, with a second wave of tours to be released later this year.
Rob Stapley, senior product manager for Titan’s cruising product, said the operator has already offered tours of the Rockies combined with Alaska cruises which have been “hugely popular” for years.
The expansion of the concept will capitalise on growing demand for once-in-a-lifetime holidays to iconic destinations, he said.
The operator has partnered with cruise lines such as Hurtigruten, Holland America Line and Azamara, which focus “getting under the skin of destinations”, he added.
The concept was unveiled to selected customers last month, generating “positive responses and wonderful feedback”, said Stapley.
“There is such a strong desire to travel again; they want to see the world and we take all the stress out of the planning and logistics,” he said.
The first departures are in May 2022 in Europe, and trips to long-haul destinations such as Antarctica and South America will start in 2023.
Stapley said the holidays would appeal both to regular cruisers and those new to cruise, plus clients celebrating special occasions such as a landmark birthday or retirement.
He said Titan’s three area sales managers will be promoting the holidays to agents and arranging visits when possible.
Posters are available for shop windows and social media.
“Agents can show their expertise more than ever,” said Stapley.
“They have never had a more important role as people get travelling again.”
