Tui has expanded its retail network by opening a store in Guildford, with bookings “exceeding expectations”.
The shop, in The Friary shopping centre, has created seven jobs for agents from a range of backgrounds, including previous work in pubs, supermarkets, the NHS and as a cabin manager for an airline.
Store manager Will Dugdale said: “It’s been brilliant to meet the hundreds of new customers who have come through the doors.”

Marella Cruises sailings have been “very popular” so far, he added, with multicentre trips also selling well.
“Bookings have really exceeded our expectations in this first week – you could tell people were really excited to have a Tui store in Guildford,” said Dugdale.
He added: “It’s been wonderful to see customers enjoying our brand new store and making the most of the relaxing environment while the team finds them their perfect holiday. We look forward to welcoming even more customers in the store soon.”
The shop, which started trading on Friday, August 23, is open 9.30am-6pm from Monday to Saturday, with the Sunday hours being 11am-5pm.
Tui now has 331 branches across the UK, including concessions in Next stores.
