Carrier head of product and commercial ‘parting ways’ with company

Carrier Luxury Holidays head of product and commercial Simon Jeffries is to leave the tailor-made specialist operator after almost seven years.

He made the announcement on LinkedIn, saying he would be “parting ways” with the company in a few weeks.

Jeffries said his time at the Carrier has seen “record sales growth, record company performance, confirmation of our place as the undisputed leading luxury tour operator, and too many other allocades to mention”.

He said: “So many partnerships which have morphed into friendships and, while the odd lockdown wasn’t part of the script, it has all contributed to a period of significant personal growth and understanding of luxury product and importantly, the luxury customer.”

Jeffries added: “I move on with happy memories, having been extremely fortunate to see the places I’ve seen, and meet the people I’ve met. With grateful thanks to my colleagues, and immense pride for the brilliant team I leave behind.

“Connections, friends, please consider me for future roles, and please pass on any opportunities you may think me appropriate for.”

Natasha Towey, Carrier managing director, said: “Simon has been a valuable member of our leadership team for almost seven years. During this time, we’ve been on a journey to revolutionise our product offering to be one of the most dynamic out there and one that encompasses the extraordinary.

“Our approach has been to take category-leading product and make it even better; we’ve achieved this by reinventing our supplier models and curating product that goes beyond just the flight and hotel.

“We’re thankful to have had Simon lead this journey and wish him every success in his next adventure.

“Our recruitment for a new head of product is already underway as we aspire to elevate our achievements even further.

“We’re seeking a visionary leader to be a pivotal player in the future of our esteemed brand and to shape the very essence of luxury travel with industry-leading product.”
