Coronation-themed events and entertainment on two Princess Cruises ships based in the UK this summer have been outlined.
Passengers on Sky Princess (pictured) and Regal Princess, both sailing from Southampton, will be offered activities designed to celebrate King Charles’ ascension to the throne next month.
Live coverage on May 6 will be shown on the ships’ 300-square-foot ‘Movies Under the Stars’ screen on deck.
Street parties will also be replicated and special afternoon teas served.
Talks from guest speaker Grant Harrold, former butler of the King, will take place on Regal Princess between May 3-5 and on Sky Princess between May 6-13. He is a former British royal household member and a leading etiquette expert, royal commentator and broadcaster.
Regal Princess will call to Holyhead in Wales on May 6 as part of the its itinerary around the British Isles.
Coronation-themed entertainment will take place on Sky Princess, including a special ‘royal variety show’ featuring a tribute to Elton John as well as a royal trivia event.
