Attraction World Group restructures ‘to help scale business globally’

Attraction World Group (AWG) has restructured its business and made two key appointments “to help scale” the business globally.

Justin Mahoney (pictured left) has been promoted to the role of managing director at AWG, while Peter Flambard is joining the company as managing director of the newly formed B2C subsidiary TixGroup.

Olly Nicholls, AWG chief executive, said: “Following the acquisition of the business in 2021 by Ten Oceans Ltd, the team have worked incredibly hard to safeguard the future of Attraction World whilst injecting new energy into the business.

“This started with a rebrand, an office move to central Birmingham, and a major rebuild of the team.

“Today we have team members worldwide and will soon be opening offices in Australia and the US.

“Part of this global expansion of the business meant we were tackling different industry problems on the B2B side and B2C sides of the business, so the time has come to increase the focus of the two channels under separate leadership.

“Justin has been the driving force behind the rebuild of AWG, and I am delighted he has accepted the role of managing director and to lead the team into the next chapter.

“Peter, I have known for nearly 15 years, and I have always been impressed with how he has led his teams at 365 Tickets.

“Peter will lead the TixGroup brand and create a global collection of lifestyle brands rather than just focusing on the UK market.”

Attraction World eyes international expansion and acquisitions

Mahoney added: “Olly and I have left no stone unturned since the acquisition in June 2021, supporting the team to put Attraction World back where it belongs, and it humbles me to now take the reins from him and lead the business through what will be an extraordinarily exciting time for all who are connected.

“These changes allow us to place maximum focus on our incredible partners across the travel industry, both those whom we’ve been serving for years, but also solving the problem for those in and outside of the industry who want to offer experiences, attractions and things to do for their customers but have never had the capability to do so.

“Peter and I will work side by side in our roles within the wider group, and I’m delighted that he has chosen AWG to pursue his next venture.”

Flambard commented: “The intention is for me to combine my experience in leadership and B2C brands with the incredible existing technology and human resource available within AWG to help maximise the significant potential in the global B2C markets.”
